Love is a curious thing…
Our Soul is always searching for it, but sometimes, just sometimes, it is right there in front of you…
Robert and Sarah’s love story grew gently, over time, like a beautiful seed unfolding over the seasons. Sarah was best friends with Robert’s sister and as the years passed they would find themselves bumping into each other at Christmas and birthday celebrations. But Robert began to see Sarah in a new light and although Sarah never knew, Robert had developed a secret crush on her!
I was asked to conduct Robert and Sarah’s wedding at short notice but on the day I was delighted to be the Celebrant conducting their summer outdoor wedding at Three Hills Barn, Torpenhow. The venue was a delightful mix of an outdoor garden and a 19th Century threshing barn. Sarah, the bride, looked stunning in her wedding dress; The groom, Robert looked equally dashing. The party afterward was full of love and laughter supplemented with oodles of cheese, wedding cake, and champagne!
The sun shone and the birds sang and through the promises Robert and Sarah made to one another and the rings they exchanged they said ~ “I choose you, and without a pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat, I will keep choosing you. Every day”.
“Now you are two persons,
but there is only one life before you.
May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead
and through all the years.
May happiness be your companion,
and your days together be good and long upon the earth” ~ Apache Wedding Prayer
